We are working to support Organisational Development and culture change. We will establish a dedicated regional fund with capacity to deliver against targeted priorities. We are investing in research and working with our members to establish the scope of these priorities with regards to workforce trends. We are addressing current and future talent gaps to build a more resilient and diverse workforce. Our investments in maximising opportunities in key sectors aim to attract talent to the region and show people that the West Midlands is a great place to work.

Delivering shared services & products
We are working together with expert partners to develop a range of new programmes for all employees, managers, leaders and HR professionals in the regional workforce. We are also looking to expand our recruitment and resourcing services, by progressing our Organisational Development tools, psychometrics, diagnostics and e-learning, investing in our successful WMJobs service, and strengthening our executive recruitment services to become a trusted partner. We are growing our mentoring and coaching pool to embed a culture of coaching within the public sector, offering everyone the benefits of a society that values personal growth and education.

What our clients have to say
Thank you Rebecca - it is really helpful to have regional guidance for consistency
Sue Wilson, Telford and Wrekin Council
Wanted to drop you a line to say I'm thinking of you and the team at WME - I've seen your response to the current situation on LinkedIn and it's been predictably first class. I'm sure it's been enormously disruptive and a strain on all of you but I know your positive culture will carry you through.
John Franklin-Hackett, WME Associate
I listened to the weekly webinar for the first time this week. Very helpful – just what’s need when things are moving so fast and everyone is working remotely.
Bob Perks, Senior HR Manager Coventry City Council
Just to say I am finding the Thursday morning webinar really useful and interesting and think you are all doing a wonderful job over there.
Jenny Whitford, HR Advisor – Lichfield District Council
“WME is a ‘go to’ organisation for us across a range of people services. We have engaged WME to help us with senior recruitment... The service provided is always flexible and responsive to our needs and always feels great value for money compared to other providers.”
Adam Norburn, Executive Director, Rugby Borough Council
“It’s such an advantage for us as elected members to have our own organisation to support our employment challenges and development.”
Cllr Roger Phillips, Herefordshire Council, member of LGA National Joint Council
“In my experience the complexity and increasing challenges for senior leaders means that effective appraisals of our CEO and executive team are ever more critical. The support we had from WME was invaluable and I strongly recommend this service to other Council Leaders.”
Cllr Jefferson, Leader of the Council, Stratford-on-Avon District Council
“WME has a strong record of providing excellent services to the region. WM ADASS are keen to collaborate with WME to ensure that the 165,000 people employed providing social care in the region are valued for the great services they provide and that future employees are encouraged into the sector.”
Pete Jackson, Improvement Director, WM ADASS
“WME is unique in our region. It is our trusted, knowledgeable long-term local government partner, supporting all our councils. WME has scope to significantly contribute to a regional approach to stabilising workforce challenges and as an improvement partner. In my experience it quickly pays for its annual membership.”
Alistair Neill, Chief Executive, Herefordshire Council
